DC Double Murder Born of Jew-Hatred

Marxist ideology is growing more radicalized on the Left, and the result is increasingly violent and murderous behavior by those claiming to represent the “oppressed” against the “oppressors.”

The global intifada just hit the streets of our nation’s capital. Yaron Lischinsky (30) and Sarah Lynn Milgrim (26) were shot in the back and killed Wednesday night by an assailant who yelled, “Free, free Palestine” as he was arrested, after saying, “I did it for Palestine. I did this for Gaza.” His intention was clear: to kill Jews.

In this case, the victims were Israeli Christians. Compounding the tragedy, Lischinsky, an Israeli citizen, had recently bought an engagement ring he reportedly intended to give to Milgrim, an American from the Kansas City area, in Jerusalem next week. The happy couple worked for the Israeli embassy and endeavored to be a part of the peace process in the Middle East.

Yet as they stepped out of the Capital Jewish Museum, the vile murderer lay in wait, and their lives were ruthlessly cut short.

Elias Rodriguez of Chicago has been charged with the murders — specifically, the murder of a foreign official (Lischinsky), in addition to other charges — and I hope prosecutors add terrorism charges. He could face the death penalty.

His radical left-wing ideology appears to be the central motivation. He was a member of the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), a Communist group, and he hates capitalists and Jews. He allegedly left a manifesto explaining his warped views.

Communists routinely erase history, of course, so the PSL’s publication, the ironically named Liberation, deleted his comments on its site. You can still view some of them here. Liberation also issued a social media post to “reject any attempt to associate the PSL with the DC shooting,” claiming he’s “not a member” despite “a brief association with one branch of the PSL that ended in 2017.”

There were plenty of ties between Rodriguez and PSL’s hateful ideology. For example, Liberation still decries “the U.S.-Israeli massacre in Gaza,” and declares, “In full coordination with the Trump administration, Israel has resumed its genocidal war with a terrifying goal: expel all Palestinians from Gaza in a blood-soaked crime of historic proportions.”

For what it’s worth, Rodriguez also donated $500 to Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign, and Illinois Democrat Representative Jesús “Chuy” García invited Rodriguez’s father to attend Donald Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress in March.

With all of this fomented Marxist hatred, it’s no wonder radical left-wingers took over Columbia University and caused chaos on other college campuses. It’s no wonder anti-Semitism is on the rise in America and that sometimes it becomes violent. It’s no wonder Rodriguez thought the, er, final solution was killing Jews.

(It’s also no wonder Donald Trump’s administration is taking anti-Semitism on America’s college campuses very seriously.)

But it’s much bigger than just anti-Semitism. Despite his surname, Rodriguez was frequently focused on Black Lives Matter and achieving “social justice” for blacks. These left-wing causes are all united under the Marxist banner.

Fueled by this Marxist worldview, leftists have become increasingly hateful and violent in the last decade or so. They’re fighting the “oppressors” by whatever means “necessary.” If that means rioting in the streets post George Floyd, so be it — and if you’re unwilling to participate in this “liberation,” give to their “charitable” cause to absolve your guilt. If it means murdering children and staff at a Christian school, a health insurance CEO, or a Jewish couple leaving a peaceful and peace-focused event, then the murderers’ many leftist defenders insist the victims had it coming.

“Hate has no home here”? That sanctimonious sign can be found on left-wing lawns across America, but the truth is, hate permeates the Left.
